this item is very cheap but will do the job great. I honestly thought it was just going to be reflective. it actually has leds perfect for playing in the dark backyard. I don't know how long it will last but the item came with batteries ready to go. for the price I am definitely happy with the item. ez to clip on and off my puppy when we need it. the power switch has 3 settings sold flash and a faster flash
